TGIF

I had a hard time sleeping last night, the hostel is perched on the top of a mountain ridge over looking a huge valley and so every farm animal in the whole area can be heard all night long...FYI roosters do NOT only "cock-a-doodle-doo" in the morning.  Also, the nearest bathroom is out the balcony, down a very narrow wooden ladder, across a porch w/no railing (remember house on side of mountain), down a few more steps and into someones room. There is NO privacy at this place:-)

 I am ready for the weekend to explore the town, climb some mountains and get some of my own food, a peanut butter & jelly sandwich has never sounded so good!

 Thank you, thank you to everyone that's been keeping up with me and commenting/e-mail, its a good feeling to hear from home!

    I LOVE the pic with you and the two school children.

    I think you might come back very skinny with all the walking you're doing! and the vegan oatmeal. maybe you can ask the guy if I can have that recipe;)

    what else do the rooster's do?!!! also, we all miss you too. jake's up in sf for the week, and this past sat, he came out w/ us to a very festive xmas party at a restored victorian in the haight. we talked about you and your adventures, and he's clearly getting excited to see you so soon. hearing you talk about south america makes me miss it! keep up the blog posts! i've got you saved on my bookmarks :) xo
