The Long and Tangled Road
So now, I've just arrived in "dangerous, crime ridden" Quito! Possiblly one of the most stressful and difficult things in traveling is riding the public city transportation. In this case, Quito's trolleybus from the south to the north end of town, with a huge backpack and in my case an additional True Value re-usable grocery bag. Through 30+ stops, three transfers, and about 300 people coming and going and packed like sardine, I still managed to get to my destination with all those important things/everything still intact. Once again I felt the Love, I was helped three times by complete strangers to get me to my exact destination and even given a free taxi ride (who I eventually convinced to take my money as a thank you rather than payment).
So now a visit to historic old town and then it's so long Ecuador!
And hopefully I never have to hear this song again, or at least not five times a day.
